About The Therapist

Ageeth worked as a primary school teacher in her native country, The Netherlands, for a number of years before she qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1994.

In 2000 she moved to Ireland and has worked as a Senior Occupational Therapist for HSE supported Multidisciplinary Children’s Disability Services for over 10 years.

In 2012 she set up CAN DO KIDS Occupational Therapy Services. She loves the challenge of continuous development and innovation of her practice.

Ageeth has a special interest in handwriting, Dyspraxia/DCD and school related difficulties. She keeps her knowledge sharp and updated with current research and international post graduate courses in Ireland, The Netherlands and the UK.

As a therapist and teacher, she has an evidence based and practical approach. Her focus is on empowerment of parents and teachers in order to support children in everyday skills.

Ageeth enjoys being a guest lecturer at Mary Immaculate College of Education and the Liberal Arts, in Limerick. She also provides regular courses at Education Centres for teachers, resource teachers and SNA’s across the country.

She is a member of the Association of Occupational Therapists Ireland (AOTI) and is registered with the national health regulator CORU.
She is recognised by private health insurers.
